Year Of Focus: Week 48 Obedience

November 24, 2024

Obedience is the fruit of faith; patience, the bloom on the fruit ~Rossetti

Year of Focus: Week 48

Word of The Week: Obedience

the act or practice of obeying; dutiful or submissive compliance:

As children we learn about obedience early on, or more often the punishment or consequence of disobedience, and often rebel at the word. However, those early life lessons teach us the value of obedience, revealing the way it’s part in our daily life.

Sure, we can be disobedient and get away with it, but at what cost? Considering how some of that obedience is for our own good. Each act becomes a piece of the puzzle, slowly creating a life that is enriched with possibility, by obediently following a plan.

We even need obedience when we set goals. Without obedience, we have no plan for the next steps to reach our goal. With disobedience, we disobey our own dreams for the future.
