Big dreams must be anchored in small life-giving habits.
The Year Of Focus: Week 40
Word of The Week: Anchored
a person or thing that can be relied on for support, stability, or security, mainstay:
Of the many practices we follow in life, being anchored is one I return to often. To be stable or feel supported is something we all want to experience. And where we place our anchor can reveal the space that we feel supported.
At sixty, in the start of my third act, I am constantly seeking ways to feel more rooted and anchored in both my purpose and who I am. For me, being anchored is the confidence to feel steady and sure in where you are in your life. Of course, there is always room for growth, and when we stay anchored, we can enjoy the balance of both.
When our attention drifts in new directions, or we find ourselves lost, that is when we return to what anchors us. Return to the joy and strength of what we know will keep us safe. Trusting in each decision is the anchor of peace.
