Sometimes our choices center on a very repeatable practice of whether we give energy to the stream of life that carries our problem, or to our fear growing from the circumstance we’re in. ~Mark Nepo
We are linked in our humanity the way the earth holds a tree, so that tree can hold a nest, so that nest can hold a bird, so that bird can drop a seed that will in time give birth to the next tree.
Student-Self And Teacher-Soul
There is a perpetual impulse that comes with the urge to push through and the willingness to wait. So often, in grief, I wish for times passing. I want the pain to soften, be a part of my past. In this search I just want the answer of why. But then, like a flowers bloom, I see how time has brought patience. Maybe it does not answer our questions, but it reveals a new way to see.
Many times, we fall into the excitement of something new. An idea that blossoms quickly in our mind’s eye, which often falls short of our imaginings. But, if I allow myself to soften my expectations and let things arrive in their own time, I can better understand the unanswered prayers.
We may already know the answers to our problem but remain tangled inside the what ifs. We know a shift is necessary to grow but do not trust the student-self. All the while the teacher-soul waits patiently for the student to arrive.
Sometimes our doubts need time to soften into solutions.
If I had experienced different things, I would have different things to say. ~Mark Nepo
