Word Of The Week: Purpose

the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used, etc.

Finding our purpose, what a fitting place to be as we approach the end of a year and begin thinking about our goals for next year. Even when our direction is not clear, we can begin by mapping a course. Searching for the focus we need to discover our North Star.

I think our purpose changes and evolves as we do. What was once important to us, changes through time and circumstance. And our growth will lead us in a new direction. Finding our purpose can be the guiding light that keeps us reaching for discovery. 

Writing, as well as my job gives me purpose, but I would not say it is my purpose, and so I continue to learn new things, following leads that fulfill our hearts and minds. Purpose can be anything that fills you up.
