Worship springs from amazement
The Year of Focus: Week Six
Word of the week: Worship
Worship - noun
We worship the sun after a rainy day, a day off after weeks at work or even the time to just create. Worship comes in many forms; in the many ways we use our time and thoughts. And of course, I am always eager to improve my time and devotion to the true meaning, to Worship God…
For many years I felt confused in my relationship with God. After losing Ryan I felt angry and confused in faith. I still remember the devastation to our family as we struggled to comprehend his death. At Ryan’s funeral, my father requested the reading of Psalm 23 although he was unable to do it. Being well versed in his religious beliefs, I know even he was lost. And at that time, in my grief, I found it difficult to worship anything.
Today, through the knowledge that comes with time, and the opportunity to grow and learn, I now understand the healing ways I need to worship, to reveal my peace and pursue a better relationship with God.
