Interrupt anxiety with gratitude

Being Me: Week 48

November theme: Interrupt anxiety with gratitude

Interrupt anxiety with gratitude is a saying I have been seeing quite often lately. It is a method to help calm anxiety, with small lessons to remind us that whatever the future holds for us, we have the means, family, support, and courage to make it through.

We can allow our thoughts to be overrun with anxiety, or we can interrupt those thoughts with gratitude. A new method in combating the anxious mind.

I found more information on this blog and I've shared parts below.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  AND THE PEACE OF GOD, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

If you’re waking up with a heavy heart, chest pounding and worries that you can physically feel, stop, pray, tell God what you’re thankful for, take a few deep breaths and find peace in knowing that He’s got the whole world in His hands…and that means you, too.

Here are a few more articles on anxiety and gratitude you may find helpful
