Being Me: Week 7 - Meditation and solitude

February theme - Before anything else, find yourself, be yourself and love yourself

Being Me: uncovering the path to my purpose by following my hearts journey through simple daily tasks...

Last week I mentioned the life changing habit of meditation. Here you will find more information on the benefits of 5-10 minutes a day...

In 2018 I uncovered a peaceful practice with meditation. Inspired by the slowness to start my day, each 10-12 minute guided session and lesson from the Calm app provided direction. When my mother passed away in July, I lost my way with much of my routine and meditation felt more like a chore than a gift, and I let it slip away.

As I work through the deeply rooted grief in my life, I  recognized the importance of this practice and decided to resume my morning meditation for guidance. Meditation keeps me present and the practice continues to teach me  how to slow down and resist the impulse of distraction.

HERE is a link to Week 6 where I linked a few meditation apps
