Being me: Week 4

January 20, 2019

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.  ~Thomas Edison

Being Me: Week 4 - If at first you don't succeed

January theme: The best time for new beginnings is now

We are always capable of more than we do. In fact, like another Thomas Edison quote, "If we did all the things we are capable of we would literally astound ourselves."

A huge chunk of that comes from persistence and not instant rewards. Doing the hard work of change, taking the time, and enjoying the journey. And if you miss a day, get back on, don't allow it to be the excuse you use to give up. I guarantee if you follow through with your thing and mark that X on the calendar, your future self will thank you!

There is no finish line with goals or intentions, they provide aim and direction through a course of trial and error. Goals are the guidepost for your daily habits, the reminder in each choice you make in a day. Both the success and failure of each goal you attempt will help you grow and change the direction of your life.

Through trial and error I have discovered with both running and writing, when I put in the work, not only does it makes the day more satisfying, but it also makes the next days work easier and more exciting. Each habit can be reached  with small doable steps.
