"Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use." ~ Earl Nightingale
Being Me: Week 23
June theme: Believe you can and your halfway there
Do you believe in yourself? Can you set goals and believe that you will follow through? Or understand that whatever you do is enough?
Lately I've been thinking a lot about not just being me, but believing in me. I keep thinking about my mom who never believed in herself and it makes me sad. She is gone now and the time is up to be herself and believe in herself. I wish I would have shared with her all the ways I believed in her. Maybe if we all shared the ways we believe in others it could help them believe in themselves?
It is said that we must believe we can achieve something before it happens. Regardless of how many times we fall down, the act of believing and getting back up will eventually transform our mindset.
When running gets difficult there is so much self talk, I can either beat myself down or build myself up, and the difference will make a difference.
As we near the halfway point of the year, each day, week, and month provide new opportunities to begin again. By spending 1 hour a day on your goal, you can significantly improve your life.
As the 1950 motivational speaker, Earl Nightingale said.
“1. Give yourself a definite goal. 2. Quit running yourself down. 3. Stop thinking of all the reasons you cannot be successful and instead, think of all the reasons why you can. 4. Trace your attitudes back through your childhood and try to discover where you first got the idea you couldn't be successful - if that's the way you've been thinking. 5. Change the attitude you have of yourself by writing out the description of the person you'd like to be. 6. Act the part of the successful person you have decided to become.”
and when we believe in ourselves, we light that fire we need to achieve.
Themes for each month to journal, create or contemplate on your journey
Mission Statement: I will improve my overall health and wellness, use kindness and inspiration with a vision that creates a community of giving and in doing so achieve my purpose in this life.
