52 Weeks of gratitude: Week 12
Making positive decisions that affect my well being became my mindfulness mantra for 2018. Ready to step into the New Year with specific goals for my body, mind and, soul I decided to just begin.
Mindfulness for me is about paying attention to the now and moving away from the anxiousness of the unknown or replaying the past. Throughout this first 90 days of the year, I have discovered the tools I need to instill change. By establishing small, doable, daily goals I uncover the promise of change invited by mindfulness with each step.
This awareness unpacks the spiral of worries or sadness while I focus my thoughts to the present. My breath slows, encouraging calm.
Just dipping into these early practices have produced a swell of promise even with so much more to discover. This mindful state fills me with gratitude for how far I have come as well as hope for all that I will untangle.
