Headed out to Michigan for a two day trip to hang out with some friends.  We met from all over Ohio and Wisconsin to a central place in Michigan.  First off we had to hit up Debbie's store in Howell Michigan!

Everyone is Irish on St. Patricks day.... right?
This year I hung out with a group from the gym, my trainer included. After all, we were going to run in the morning, so what harm could it be.
We started off at Sully's a local Irish bar where they removed all the tables and it was standing room only.  We then walked to every other location in Medina meeting many other "characters" dressed in green...

Got to run another great race in South Carolina this past weekend.  The weather was perfect, the course was a challenge and I got to run with Chelsea, at least for a little while!
I heard it said recently "there is no such thing as bad weather for a race, just poor clothing choices" and I must agree... though I am still learning what is the proper choice, and found with this race Chelsea and...

He would be 68 today....
So many things I wish I could share with him, its not fair!
 
He would tell me life's not fair...

This is a part of my life now....
I need to learn more, understand more and change the way I've reacted to it. I am becoming the parent instead of the child. Its a lot to adjust to and changing so quickly. She doesn't see it, even after meeting with doctors who tell her she needs to eat more, she still doesn't see it.... and so its up to us to learn more and take care of her.

As we enter into a new month.... 5 days in now, I know what I need to do for the month of March

I'm going through a lot of changes with my mother and her battle with dementia and my aunt reminded me that it might be a good time to write down the good memories and things about my mom to help me through the rough road ahead. Plus, in trying to spend quality time with her, I think art...

Finally the stars aligned and everything worked in order for me to run my first half marathon of 2012, although Chelsea was unable to do it with me, it was a beautiful and challenging race to be sure!
Once we found the start Chelsea told me she wanted a jumping picture, the guys at the start just shurgged and said, "ya gotta do it now", so I did... and needless to say, I love the picture!...

Looking forward to getting my first half marathon in for 2012 this upcoming weekend.  I've checked the weather and it looks like we're going to have perfect temps and sunshine, lets hope it doesn't change too much over the next few days.
I picked up some new Brooks running shoes, which I instantly fell in love with and have been great in my training.  I look forward to putting some road...
