    Work in Progress Kits!
It's been 3 years since Trish started the kit club and I've been a fan since the very first one.  I don't know how she does it as she each unveils another gorgeous kit each month, but I love it!  I'm so thrilled to be a part of this design team, and when Laina suggested we all scraplift a layout Trish did in honor of the kit clubs 3rd birthday I thought what a great idea!

Joel, Zach and I headed up to the square on Sunday for the annual Ice Festival to check out all the carvings.  There are some that are pre-made and there are some that they carve there as you walk around.  We made our way through the square quickly as the wind was fierce and stopped in for a coffee (hot chocolate for Zach) to help us warm up!

It's always fun to go through the square, but...

Just this past Wednesday I got to celebrate Valentine's day with girlfriends.  What a fun night we shared chatting about life and playing some games!

It's not about the Valentine's... though they are fun too.  It's about having friends that make excuses to spend time together.  To make new memories and laugh about old memories.

    Some of the treats....

The good the bad and the ugly...
Thank goodness for family, friends and those distractions that get us through the rough patches in our life and remind us to smile.
Went to visit my aunt again today and while we try to keep it upbeat, you can see her decline as the weeks go by.  Today we talked about patience... something my sister always jokes that she didn't get much of.  My aunt however, had...

Oh my we have been buried in the snow here!  Last night Joel made a path for the dog to get on and off the deck and a spot for him to go in the yard.

Luckily the snow slowed enough yesterday for the roads to clear up and the girlfriend Valentine party to still be on.  I will be back later with pictures from our fun night!

Happy Talk by Oscar Hammerstein II (as featured in the 1950's series)
I have an unusual statement to make.  I am a man who believes he is happy.  What makes it unusual is that a man who is happy seldom tells...

Did you see Jana Eubanks post about her Chocolate survival kit?  As soon as I saw it I knew it was going to be my Valentine for my girlfriend Valentine party tonight!
Every year my girlfriend has us over for a Valentine party!  It's a fun night where we each bring a dish for dinner, play a few games and share Valentine treats with one another. Here's last year's party treats.
    And here is what...

Well not that he asks for anything.  In fact he is one of the hardest people to buy anything for, because he NEVER wants anything.
But when he's not happy with something and lets you know about it, you are sure to take note.
Like the television and all the remotes!  It drove him crazy when the kids would watch a movie on the playstation the night before and the next day he couldn't get the tv working...
