Was a quiet day - I worked the first half of the day and then met my mom at Panera after picking up Zach from school.  She made Zach a pumpkin pie and wanted to give it to him.  She's in a baking mood lately.
I also got my order from Norma's uppercase living party and had to put it up.  The order from my party has been placed and hopefully soon I'll have more words than I know what to do with,...

Well we began the weekend with a girlfriend night out for dinner!  What a blast as usual.  Talking, sharing and laughing about our childhood.
Then we all met up again early Saturday morning to board the bus and head down to the Longaberger Homestead and to Dresden.
Debbie and Brenda drove in from Michigan the night before to go to the dinner and then on the bus trip. Kim always says that Brenda...

Middlesex and I'm almost there.  It's good, don't get me wrong but it took a while to get into it and it seems every night I only read a couple pages and I'm too exhausted to read on.  Yet I picked up Valerie Bertinelli's book and finished that in a week.  Needless to say I'm plugging along here with just over 100 pages left.

Have you seen this book?  Its hilarious!!!  I just started reading...

I really want to get in the habit of journaling more.  Not just in my scrapbooks, but in my everyday.  Now my blog serves as a type of journal but I don't put my deepest thoughts and dreams out here - at least most of the time?
I have two journals for my kids I started back in 1996.  In them I wrote only on certain days.  Like the day of their birthday, what they got, what the weather was like...

Last night I worked on a acrylic mini book with my work in progress kit.  I wanted to make an album for a friend for a gift and this just came together so easily with this kit. The Scenic Route papers were perfect for the summer theme I was going for.  Now she just needs to add pictures and journaling.
The acrylic mini I made myself with the materials purchased from Hobby Lobby - info I found out...

the Work in Progress project kit last night.  I love all the bright colors especially since we still have snow.  It helps me think of the warmer days ahead.

The box I already had is wood (this is the largest of the three) that came with a nesting set. One of the many things that I have to alter.  The clipboard was part of the kit.
Zach and I went to see Horton hears a who - we both cracked...
