In February 1993 we lost our 5-year-old son Ryan from encephalitis from and unknown cause. You can read more about Ryan and what happened here.

In two weeks on December 7th it would be Ryan’s 21st birthday and in memory of his birthday I wanted to do something sweet in a “pay it forward” way.

You see, last year I spent the week of...

It's getting close to that Christmas count down... not only for the kids but for our shopping days left and so what better way to get inspired than to work on an advent calendar to count down with.

Tonight was the last home game for Kent State and the last time the band would perform, which we planned to attend months ago with Deb, Gordon and the kids.  After a drive that took 1 1/2 hours (which is usually 45 minutes) the horrible conditions, roads closed detouring us around, cars off the road everywhere we looked, we finally made it to the game.
Once we arrived safely to the game we were...

Well I haven't taken a lot of pictures of my projects from the weekend yet but I think I am mostly unpacked!  Finally!
We had so much fun on this crop and are already talking about the next one.  Trish did an amazing job with everything!  The place was gorgeous, the lighting was perfect and the people there were a blast.  I finally got to meet Laina, who is super sweet and so fun to be around. ...

I cannot believe it is finally here! We have been counting down to this crop for months and in just a few hours we will be on our way!

Last week I got the chance to go to Audrey's Attic which is an adorable country store in Orville Ohio.  I had a feeling it would be all decked out for Christmas and wasn't disappointed when I arrived.  Although my time was limited because of previous plans I managed to make my way through and pick up a couple things.  I'm planning to get back there within the next week or so again to really look...

Those red cups that is!  One of my favorite signs of the Holidays approaching.  I know it may sound silly to some, but I look forward to that "change of season".  Then before you know it, they are gone again.
So today since Zach dragged me out to the store so that he could pick up Guitar Hero at Blockbuster we decided to stop at Target and Starbucks too, where I enjoyed my first Peppermint...

It's funny I remember saying that for many years when you saw Christmas merchandise out in the stores right after Halloween.  But then I worked at Treasured Friends and realized they only have a limited amount of time to sell, therefore we began decorating and setting up for Christmas by November 1st.
Since the store has been closed a couple years now I had forgotten that routine until shopping...
