The sticky about scrapbook adhesives

Why is it while there are so many choices out there, I always fall back to the one I began with.  The Creative Memories tape runner.  Now granted I began scrapbooking using all their products and over the years have learned that there are more awesome products out there than I know what to do with.  But yet even with glowing recommendations of other products I still seem to fall back to my trusty Creative Memories tape runner, why?  Is it like your favorite color lipstick - that no matter how many choices you may have, once you find your favorite that's what you go back to.  Or is it more about change and change being difficult for most of us?

If you know of a good adhesive that you would highly recommend that once I switch I probably won't go back to the Creative Memories brand, then please let me know!!
