Paying it forward...

In between the craziness of Christmas and all the holiday fun I have been also receiving and trying to organize the many books that have so far been donated in memory of Ryan to build the library for the Metro Hospital Pediatric floor.

I've also taken the month of December and paid it forward in memory of Ryan by leaving $5 after paying for my order in various coffee shops, drive through, etc.  It's a good feeling to share Ryan's story and randomly pay and wonder how the recipient felt when learning of this random act. Recently I was lucky enough to hear about the story being shared as someone I knew was in line behind the person receiving the "free drink" and shared with me how she knew it was me when the story was being told!

Yesterday when Zach and I arrived home we were greeted with a stack of boxes on the front porch...

I've also received  checks and gift cards to pick up more books and I can't express how I wonderful it is to see Ryan live on through all these generous donations.
