I have been doing a lot of playing these last few weeks with anything and everything Halloween!
Between working on the house decorations, I've also been playing with some crafts that I'm really having a blast with. I still need to pick up some gourds and small pumpkins for some finishing touches and Joel usually picks up corn stalks for me to decorate the porch.
As for the crafts... here are just a few! Cans.... they are everywhere!
It started years ago… in fact when Zach was in preschool and Chelsea elementary I met a friend who shared my love for crafts. We would meet at her house and let the younger kids play together while the older kids were in school. During this time we would share coffee and ideas. One of our first ideas was the vegetable cans which we turned into pumpkins. We would come up with the idea, create a sample and build off of it. We had a blast and I really miss those days. Not only have the kids grown up but she’s moved to Florida, and while we still chat and share our ideas on the phone, I’ll never forget the fun we shared together creating for our kids.
So here I am 15 years later still spray painting and decorating cans, and although I have to say I don’t do the same “volume” that I did back then (the entire pre school class), I still get a kick out of coming up with new ideas.
Be sure to check out the Work in progress blog tomorrow where I share some more of my favorite Halloween crafts.
