What a day

August 15, 2008

It's been a day of tears and laughter, sadness and pride!

So many emotions you go through when dropping your child off at college.  The house was quiet, Zach over his friends and Joel still at the office. Leaving me alone with my thoughts.  Our whole routine around here will be different.  My gosh, just typing this my eyes well up!

We had a beautiful day with both her grandma's, Ben, Joel, Zach and I getting her moved into her little room before she had to head off to practice.

I guess in a sense it was a good thing she had to go to practice because I could have hung out all day...

After getting her room together we went down for lunch and got to meet some of her friends she's already met during previous practices.

It was quite comical to have us all fit in this room trying to make the bed, open the frig, microwave and television (which we let dad do).

This evening the only form of communication we had was a text

Chelsea - at dinner

mom - how's it going

Chelsea - awesome

Then finally after 9pm she called...
