We remember the momements...
And hopefully, one day soon, Debbie too will remember all the moments that lead to her recovery.
I have noticed some recent things are staying with her, but there are others we still have to repeat to her. Like the fact that our father passed away in 1998, or where the boys are, and even saying she never had Christmas with her family and talking about what gifts she needs to buy yet.
On Thursday after her appointment at University Hospital, we went to the mall to pick her up some things she needed and spend some time shopping. I believe Deb had a bit of realization when the mall was quiet and there were no Christmas decorations, but I'm not sure how quickly that fades?
During New Year's break Debbies long time girlfriend Laurie came in town and was able to spent a few days with her. We all met up a few time for lunch and shopping.
Laurie and Deb have been friends since high school and even though she lives in Tennessee, they have still maintained that friendship!
Spending time with Laurie made me reminisce of our teen days when we thought life was so tough! It also reminded me of what wonderful friendships Deb and I have gotten to share with others through the years!
