~ If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. ~
I did a blog post over at Work in Progress about the new beginnings that spring can bring us. And have been inspired by a lot of what I've read and seen lately!
Like these quotes:
"I believe we humans have incredible bodies, and most of us have never tapped into what we are capable of achieving."
"Running parallels life: Take one challenge at a time; one tough mile at a time; one hill at a time; one aid station at a time, and you will get through anything"
At breakfast yesterday we were talking about goals and aspirations, those little things we do day to day to inspire ourselves and ultimately inspire others. Like how holding a door open for a stranger or even a smile as you pass by. I've noticed my son doing this a lot and I am proud for his "doing the right thing" attitude. Some people say thank you and some don't, but he continues to do it and that's what matters. It's not about the response you get for doing something, its about doing the right thing.
take that path you don't always follow, find a new direction to inspire you and get outdoors and enjoy the signs of spring. And if you're looking for more inspiration than check out Jills blog list... your sure to find inspiration there!
this kid is sure to inspire...
the first time ever he lost his footing out of starting blocks and fell
but he got back up, kept running and placed 3rd - a close 2nd!
But every race after that he ran and won...
And isn't that life... you have to pick yourself up and keep moving!
