In just 4 weeks...
I started training for the Chicago marathon just four weeks ago and I can't believe the difference it is already making in my running!
On July 4th I ran a 10K and it included many firsts
And that's just a piece of what training does for you, it makes the body work when the mind tells it you can go faster. I decided I could finish that last mile in 13 minutes or in 10 or under and this time it worked! I had the energy, I had the strength and I had the determination to push myself harder than I've pushed in a race in a long time.
My official finish time: 1:04:28.4
Now granted this was only a 6 mile race... but oh the possibilities
