Family...

When you marry someone you marry their family too.  Sometimes that isn't such a great thing and sometimes it can be a wonderful thing!

When I married Joel I got the bonus of another aunt, uncle and cousin's who are like siblings to me.  I always look forward to spending time with them.    

Last night we lost his Uncle Dick who was one of those with a gruff exterior, but once you got to know him you couldn't help but feel loved and protected, even being married into the family I felt it, I knew it!

He passed away today and I'm so sad.  Sad for his family, I know what they are going through and sad for myself.

 
We had a great year with him and I'm so thankful for that!
