We packed a lot into this weekend, celebrating Alexa's birthday on Friday night with Elvis, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and more at her "Walk the red carpet" birthday party. Singing karaoke off tune to Amish Paradise and Friends in low places, and lots of laughs sure made the evening go by quickly.
Saturday I awoke with nothing that HAD to be done, but that just means you better accomplish something or your day will feel like a waste. So I ordered 3 yards of mulch and with the kids help we weeded, trimmed shrubs and spread those three yards of mulch out quickly. The kids were so hot afterwards they had to jump in the pool, of course with Shaggy too!
Sunday was a special day. Not only was it Father's Day, but it was Zach's 13th birthday. The day began with dad opening his gift which was a new grill for camping. Then it was back to Zach's birthday as he opened all his presents. His gifts from us consisted of Xbox 360 game and a xbox game pack which included new headphones, camera and a subscription to xbox live, and the game he loved after playing while camping Memorial Weekend Baggo. Followed by more yard work, dad working at Ridge until dinner time, then we enjoyed dinner with Joel and I, Chelsea and Ben, Bill, Jane and of course Zach at Friday's. And off to Uncle Rob's and Aunt Mimi's for cake and ice cream. And to of course sing Happy Birthday again to Zach!
