"The tragedy in life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal, the tragedy lies in no goals to reach." ~Benjamin Mays
What can you do in 100 days?
Beginning my year with plenty of goals was powerful, and I would highly recommend its course. My goal list included, personal improvement goals, life goals and of course, writing. I was learning, getting stronger and following through for myself in a way I never had. And it was good, really good.
And then, life happened and well, death happened, and I lost momentum. My heart was just not into it. I got injured and fell from my routine of drinking plenty of water, writing, strength, and meditation, that had reached 250 consecutive days as well as a story about habits and goals published in Bella Grace magazine.
In July, after my mom passed away, I began questioning the meaning behind all the goals I set. I continued, but lacked the previous zest. In August, I went through the motions, just to get it done, but it had lost meaning, and a goal without meaning falls quickly away. And now, September, when an injury halted my strength workouts officially breaking the chain I had created.
I just could not fake it anymore, just do, to do. I had to stop, reflect and decide how I would finish out my year. With a couple week hiatus and my injury now healed I'm ready to start over.
Beginning Saturday, September 22, 2018, with 100 days left in the year, it is the perfect place to begin. What can you do in 100 days? Make a promise to yourself, start small and begin the countdown.
